ENGWE Zip Folding Electric Bike

The ENGWE Zip is a compact folding electric bike designed for riders who value convenience, easy storage and flexibility in everyday travel. Its three-part folding design allows the bike to be folded down quickly, making it useful for commuting, storing at home or taking along when space is limited.

Despite its compact design, the Zip provides a full-size electric bike experience for everyday journeys. A 250W rear hub motor produces up to 40Nm of torque, while the torque sensor responds to your pedalling effort to provide smoother and more natural electric assistance.

The removable 36V 10Ah battery has a 360Wh capacity and uses LG cells. ENGWE states a range of up to 120km using the lowest assistance setting, with published figures of up to 85km on PAS 2 and 60km on PAS 3. Actual range will vary depending on rider weight, terrain, weather, tyre pressure, riding style and the level of assistance selected.

Designed around portability

One of the main advantages of the ENGWE Zip is its compact folding frame. Once folded, the bike measures approximately 619mm long, 350mm wide and 739mm high, making it much easier to store in smaller spaces than a conventional bicycle.

At approximately 19.4kg including the battery, it is still substantial enough for everyday riding while remaining considerably easier to handle than many larger folding electric bikes. The battery can also be removed, which can make charging more convenient.

The adjustable handlebar and seat height allow the riding position to be adapted to suit different riders. ENGWE recommends the Zip for riders approximately 155–190cm tall.

Comfortable urban riding

The Zip uses 16 × 1.95-inch urban hybrid tyres, giving it a compact footprint while providing stability for normal city riding. The suspension seatpost helps absorb some of the bumps and vibrations from uneven surfaces, adding comfort during everyday journeys.

Its folding stem and quick-release pedals make the bike easier to prepare for storage or transport, while the steel frame provides a solid platform for regular use.

Confident braking and simple gearing

Hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors at the front and rear provide responsive braking when riding in busy areas or when you need to slow down quickly.

The seven-speed Shimano drivetrain gives you a useful range of gears for different roads and gradients. Combined with the torque-sensing motor, it allows you to adjust your effort and electric assistance to suit the journey.

Useful features for everyday travel

The ENGWE Zip comes with integrated front and rear lighting, helping you remain more visible when riding in lower-light conditions. Its 3.2-inch colour LCD display provides key information such as speed, battery level and riding mode.

The bike also supports Bluetooth connectivity and ENGWE app functions. Another useful feature is the 100W USB-C PD charging system, which can be used to charge compatible electronic devices as well as the bike's battery.

A removable battery case is also supplied, providing a practical way to carry and protect the battery when it is removed from the bike.
